20191001 - Clincher Cowl / Shawl

by Nautical Yarn

Title:  Clincher (Tuesday Evening Class)

Date:  Tuesday, October 1, 2019

Time:  5:00 - 7:00 PM

Teacher:  Michele

Description:  Wearing smaller shawls in a bandana fashion, peak frontwards, is a challenge. We need tails long enough to tie around. Clincher is a bandana scarf that solves this fastening problem! Shaped as an elongated triangle, the bind off edge is punctuated with a sculptural row of i-cord loops in a contrast yarn. The bias stitch pattern makes this design ideal for hand dyed yarns that will emphasized the directionality of the shawl. The loops allow for experimentation in how you wear it!

Supplies:    Approximate 400 yds worsted, DK or fingering yarn (2 colors) and size 7, 4, or 5 needles.
